Crisis control

In the midst of an incident, rapidity, accuracy and accessibility are key

Facing high staff turnover, insufficiently trained workers, complex analytical challenges and a sustained growth of data and data sources, many emergency dispatch centers can’t efficiently and timely handle all incoming requests.

That is why Pandora Intelligence’s Crisis Control empowers responders with a real-time picture of the crisis situation.

Crisis control provides the analytical power to recognize incident elements, detect risks, calculate their impact, and thereby support anticipating problems in just a few life-saving minutes.

Using Crisis Control effectively results in responders’ ability to handle more requests in less time and most importantly provide callers and field operators promptly with richer intelligence.

To provide actionable intelligence, Pandora Intelligence’s platform makes use of data from a broad range of sources, which is combined and transformed into operational scenarios. In order to optimize utilization of the platform and sharing of information, it can be integrated with your existing tools and resources.

USE CASE CRISIS CONTROL

An emergency dispatch center receives a call of a raging fire in the center of a medium-sized city. Emergency services drive to the location while safety professionals consult the map and assess the weather conditions, wind direction and speed. Analysts investigate the affected area to identify hazardous locations (such as gas stations), as well as risk location (such as childcare centers). When done the relevant evacuation plans are consulted and executed.

In the exercise described above, 6 analysts spent roughly 2 hours gathering all the important information from different data sources. The same result was achieved in less than 2 minutes by 1 analyst working with Crisis Control.
As soon as an emergency call comes in, the platform immediately consults all relevant data sources, such as locations, current weather and company information. It immediately creates a Common Operational Picture of the incident, which all involved emergency services are able to use. During the operation the analyst using Crisis control was also able to use information from past similar cases to substantiate its decision and thereby be less prone to risk and errors.
