Maastricht resident Peter de Kock has developed a predictive capability for crime prevention with his company Pandora Intelligence. He combines artificial intelligence with data from books and movies to prevent terrorist attacks. De Kock, previously a documentary filmmaker and police expert, created a digital database with detailed information on over 200,000 terrorist incidents.
Pandora Intelligence uses artificial intelligence and algorithms to establish connections and gather useful information from vast amounts of data. The company works for government agencies, municipalities, safety regions, and multinational corporations. However, the rapid growth and impact of data science also raise questions about privacy and security.
